“May 21, 2013 at about 8 am I was on my way to work driving on the freeway when the passenger airbag deployed for no reason, it startled & shaken me to the point that it almost cause me to get into an accident, I thought that I had a tire blow out or gunshot to my windshield because I seen a flash, I pulled over and exit to the next off ramp to calm myself for about 25 min then drove my car to the car dealer service area hoping that the driver side airbag wouldn't deploy on my face as I drove. …”
NHTSA complaint #10513008, filed 2013-05, 70,000 miles“I did not have a accident. But I have had this car for only 15 months and I've had to take this car in for the same defect several times and many times over and over again especially the last 3 months. I've had it with this car and I can't deal with this any more. And toyota of escondido where we bought the car can't seem to get it right or give us another car.”
NHTSA complaint #10243774, filed 2008-09“The contact owns a 2004 Chrysler Concorde. When the vehicle is started, the air bag light illuminates and remains lit on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to a mechanic and it was discovered that the side air bag malfunctioned and needed to be replaced. The air bags would not deploy in the event of a crash. The current mileage was 69,000 and failure mileage was 68,000.”
NHTSA complaint #10240167, filed 2008-08, 68,000 miles“My vehicle was first hit on the driver side by a hit and run driver. Then it went into ongoing traffic to hit another car head on and finally went on the side walk hitting a tree.”
