“I have a 2004 Concorde lxi. I also have had very many troubles with my car stalling while driving at various speeds and conditions. The engine will lose power and it will take some time before it starts. It seems that this is a big problem with several models that Chrysler has produced. This problem needs to be addressed as soon as possible.”

NHTSA complaint #10267633, filed 2009-05, 114,000 miles

“My 2004 Chrysler Concorde has engine failure. I have came across lots of people with the same problems with the 2.7 engines. I just bought the car 1 year ago and Chrysler has told me since the car is older than three years they are not liable. The dealership also has been rude to me and has lied to chryslers customer service. I have gotten oil changes but of course I don't have receipts. I should not be responsible for this they should.”

NHTSA complaint #10246109, filed 2008-10, 73,000 miles

“On our second engine now. The second engine is now doing the same as the first before it quit. The check engine light is now on and no one can seem to tell me why the car keeps stalling while driving at a variety of different speeds and conditions. When it stalls the car is still partially on. The power steering goes out and I can not accelerate but there are still a couple of lights on the display the same ones that turn on when you turn the key half way forward. I think the electrical is still on but the engine is off. Does that make sense? …”

NHTSA complaint #10322227, filed 2010-03, 80,000 miles

“Car is continuing to stall. Dealer cannot find what is causing. Car stalled while making a left turn and was consequently hit by another car from behind. No major damage done, as we were only traveling about 5 MPH. Car sputters a lot, stalls a lot, and is not safe for me and my 3 small children to drive. Tried to trade it in because I do not feel safe anymore after the wreck, but will cause me a huge financial loss to do this. Please look into this problem. This is complaint number 2 with NHTSA. I see the pacificas were just recalled because of this exact same problem... …”

NHTSA complaint #10174155, filed 2006-11, 74,300 miles

“Car sputters, check engine light will come on suddenly, car will stall. Has happened while driving on freeway, as well as stop and go traffic. Has caused several near crashes. I have to pull over when car stalls, put car into park, and restart with no problems. Happens on several occasions, without regard to gas level or speed. Will also cause other components to malfunction, such as air conditioning, radio and cruise control. Has been happening for almost 6 mos now.”
