“Was traveling at 55 MPH and slower with defroster on at 20 degree outside temperature. Windshield completely fogged up, had to pull of to side of road to clear windshield. Windshield only cleared about 2/3rds, and would nor clear on sides of windshield. I could not see around corners without opening windows. After a week of frustration and hazardous driving, I discovered from an online complaint that the recirculation cover on the heater blower was stuck open, and was not letting fresh air into the vehicle. …”
NHTSA complaint #10380471, filed 2011-01, 85,000 miles“I work for a chrysler-Dodge auto dealership in texas. We are currently repairing a 2006 Dodge Charger heater core leak. The heater core leaked hot antifreeze onto the gas pedal and onto the leg of one of our salesman. The heater core is a very poor design and should be recalled before someone gets burned while driving down the road. The heater core tubes are held on to the core by a small cheesy clamp that comes off very easy. Even the new heater core we received from chrysler tubes were half way off of the heater core.”
