“I went to the gas station to get some gas. I was on a city street in anahiem, ca. I put in 25.00, but it only took 21.78 when I went to start my car it would not start. I sat in my vehicle for at least thirty minutes trying to start it. I ended up contacting triple a for a tow to my residence.”
NHTSA complaint #11321975, filed 2020-04, 81,000 miles“I was driving on the parkway approx. 60mph, the breaks felt like they were slowing down the car without being pressed. The warning lights were also going off and on. On the second road, I was going 40mph when the fuel light suddenly came on, but my gas tank was half full. The needle on the car tank went to empty then the car just shut off in the middle of the road. I managed to steer it to the side, and it restarted again.”
NHTSA complaint #10664778, filed 2014-12, 38,000 miles“After refueling my car at the gas station my car has stalled on several occasions. This issue has been going on since 2011 so now whenever I get gas I do not fill up completely to avoid the stalling problem.”
NHTSA complaint #10512924, filed 2013-05, 80,000 miles“My wife was driving over a bridge in city limits at 9:30pm and our car shutdown on her she felt a little pull and then the engine shut off and we had to get it towed. When I try to turn the car on the car sputters and turns as if it is going to start but never does. It put my whole family's life in danger the road where this happend is not well lit and traffic was heavy . I tried to put a video but it won't let me die to no proper format for file which is no good since my car won't start and I have no real way of showing you how my car is reacting or acting when I try to turn it on”
NHTSA complaint #11113012, filed 2018-07, 2 miles“While driving on an expressway at 70 MPH , the car suddenly stopped and had no power. The gas gauge showed 1/4 tank of gas . Luckily we we able to cross lanes by coasting, to get off to the right. We had to be towed to a repair shop. The car was found to be Out of Gas ! This could have been a catastrophic accident ,or death ,had we not been able to get off the road !!”
