“Car is having a fuel leak from the top plastic part that connects the fuel lines to top of the passenger fuel pump. This seems to be a common problem from the research I have done and it is a huge fire hazard. These cheap plastic parts with little protection other than just the seat should not be happening. I am afraid to drive my car as there are multiple stories of people being burned alive due to fuel leaks.”
NHTSA complaint #11139551, filed 2018-10, 160,000 miles“. Sporadic problem with the car developing a violent shake when traveling between 50-70mph. Problem has only been detected sporadically when going up/down inclines on interstate. Car loses momentum when problem occurs requiring me to completely let off gas and drop car into neutral to regain momentum. Cannot recreate problem at will, only occurs sporadically. . Problem has occurred over 20 times since mid december 2009 . Car has been taken on 7 separate occasions to local Dodge dealership where purchased (bob frensley chrsyler/Dodge). …”
NHTSA complaint #10313491, filed 2010-02, 14,000 miles“Auxiliary fuel pump module recently started leaking. (behind passenger seat) after closer inspection the top of the fuel pump is leaking...the plastic itself. Not the line or connection. I have seen numerous complaints and there is does not seem to be a recall. This happens whenever my car is running.”
