“As I was going down a counry road, for some unknown reason I lost control of my Durango, went off the road and ran into a dirt/rock embankment. When pulling my Durango back up on the road, found my tire was flat and the rim had split in half. In half like if you were holding it up on it's edge (not lying it down) and cut it in half. When I took it to the dealer ship and they had a representitive come out they said there was nothing they could do!!! I've talked to many people and mechanics and they said they have never seen anything like that. It's as almost as it was welded wrong. …”

“Vehicle is 2001 Dodge Durango r/t 5.9. 26,000 miles. Front end ball joints needed replacing. Calipers froze/locked on both front wheels. Overheating occurred twice on front calipers. Needed out of pocket money for repairs. Air conditioning broken.”

NHTSA complaint #10260461, filed 2009-03, 26,000 miles

“The plastic wheel cap that covers the hub keeps separating from the wheel. I've had three replaced under warranty, the tires hadn't even been removed from the vehicle. They are expensive to replace. Poor wheel design prevents the caps to snap back into place when they are removed, ie...to balance tires.”

Front wheel hub bearings.chrysler no help. Lucky to have forsight to buy extended warranty. Now with lack of trust of vehicle.”
