“Door small panel next to door handle came unglued and snapped off onto vehicle behind me and hit vehicle behind me. This is a factory defect on glue and snap in insertion, as picture shows, nothing abrupted this part, it just flew off nearly hurting someone. I want this part replaced as vehicle is only 2 and a half years old. Please advise next steps .”

The vehicle had not yet been taken to an independent mechanic or a local dealer for diagnosis or repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
