“Owner of j.p. Direct auto sales in florence, ky sold me a vehicle with odometer discrepancies. The owner sold the vehicle at a little over 133,000 miles but the odometer has never rolled over since I drove the truck off the lot. Furthermore, a mechanic performed an engine light reading that indicated an issue tripped around 146,000 miles. The owner is not owning up to the odometer discrepancy and making returning the truck very difficult.”

NHTSA complaint #11326141, filed 2020-05, 133,000 miles

“There is a (TSB 02-001-07 rev. A) that calls out a shudder, braking, shimmer... Blah blah blah... On level ground and certain speeds. My issue is not on level ground, my problem exist on decline of 7% when the brake is applied very slightly the front brakes or front suspension shudders, and shakes so violently that the entire truck and the steering wheel is out of control, if you grab to tight on the steering wheel you may over correct your steering and eventually could cause you to overturn your vehicle. …”

NHTSA complaint #10451935, filed 2012-03, 65,000 miles

“Hands down the worst vehicle I have ever owned when it comes to brakes. After the initial brake warranty of 12,000 miles ran out, the rotors warped. Now at 97k+ miles I am about to install a fourth set of rotors (all four) at my own expense. At approximately $250 in parts per repair, plus my own lost labor time, and the sheer disappointment of knowing that my brakes could fail at any given moment, needless to say I am a little apprehensive about purchasing another Dodge truck. …”

NHTSA complaint #10302119, filed 2010-01, 15,000 miles

“With 13,500 miles on my 2006 Dodge RAM 1500 I started to feel a shudder when braking. I inquired with the dealer and he informed me that it was the rotors. He also informed me that chryslers warranty on the rotors was 12,000 miles. Basically telling me I was sol!”

NHTSA complaint #10196343, filed 2007-07, 13,000 miles

“I have a 2006 Dodge RAM 1500 quad cab with 16,000 miles . I recently discovered that the front rotors are warped and after talking to the dealership they informed me that this would not be covered under warranty. After inspecting I discovered that the brake pads are hardly worn at all. The service advisor told me that this was a problem they were seeing on these new trucks. I feel that this is unacceptable and should be taken care of by Dodge.”
