“When the left turn signal is activated, immediately the right turn signal engages. The failure occurs intermittently. I've contacted the dealership and was told there is nothing they can do because the vehicle is out of warranty and manufacturer has not made a recall on my vehicle. This is extremely dangerous especially when entering the interstate.”
NHTSA complaint #10443439, filed 2012-01, 65,000 miles“The tail light function of the trailer wiring harness stopped functioning. Still have use of brake and turn lights. This is hard to catch on a visual test since I usually check turn and brake functions. Towed for weeks before I was told of the malfunction. Therefore cannot see trailer at night. Dealership could not fix problem.”
NHTSA complaint #10447695, filed 2012-02, 52,500 miles“The turn signal on the vehicle began activating the wrong signal. At times the signal will not work at all. At other times it signals the opposite direction I am attempting to turn. The signal switch also controls my high beams and windshield wipers. Both of these are also affected at times by the problem. I am very concerned anyone of these issues could cause a serious accident.”
NHTSA complaint #10449023, filed 2012-02, 96,000 miles“The blinker switch on my 2006 1500 ram doesn't work. When I flip the switch to turn right the left blinker comes on. Sometimes no blinker comes on. Also, at times, when I turn the wipers on they don't always come on and when they do come on they don't always turn off after turning them off.”
NHTSA complaint #10390291, filed 2011-03, 50,000 miles“When driving trying to change lanes I tried to signal right and my left turn signal came on then the turn signals were alternating back and forth. This has been happening on and off for quite a few years it will start working again then later break again.”
