“My 2005 Dodge RAM 1500 slt truck has around 52,000 miles on it as of now. I am starting to experience turn signal problems. When I turn my turn signal on for the left the right comes on and when I turn my signal on for the right nothing comes on. This has happen to me twice so far. I believe this is a safety issue that needs to be fixed by the dealer.”

NHTSA complaint #10381390, filed 2011-02, 52,000 miles

“I found out that my Dodge had only the rear passenger side tail light working, no turn signals, the passenger headlight only worked on low beam, and the drivers headlight only work on high beam. I replaced every bulb in the truck and still the same problem. I did some research and found that the integrated distribution center ( fuse box) has been a problem with corrosion inside the box. I looked everywhere for a new one, no luck. I then called chrysler corporation and they searched the entire u.s. And not one dealer had a fuse box. …”

NHTSA complaint #10758496, filed 2015-08, 132,112 miles

“Turn signals!!!!!!, turn on left the right one flashes!! Bright lights stick on, and sometimes my wipers work when turning brights off. The turn signal ordeal while trying to turn in downtown colorado springs, was not a good deal.... I got many middle fingers.”

NHTSA complaint #10258932, filed 2009-02, 28,000 miles

“2005 Dodge RAM 1500 pickup slt turn signals malfunction intermittently. Right signal will blink when left signal is activated and vice versa. Have had problem for approximately (1) month. Dealer indicates no recall or service bulletins issued. I ordered used replacement multifunction switch from e-bay. Still deciding if it is something I want to attempt on my own. Others on internet have had similar problems and found that replacing this part resolves the problem.”

NHTSA complaint #10342399, filed 2010-07, 25,000 miles

“When I turn on my left turn signal my right turn signal blinks. Some times my wipers won't come on or stop running. I am told that the multifunction switch needs to be replaced. This is definitely a safety issue.”
