The technician stated that the fuel tank and pump assembly needed to be replaced at an expense of $2600. The Ford manufacturer stated the repair was not covered under the vehicles warranty. The failure mileage was 34,474.”

The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer where the contact was told that the fuel system was experiencing delamination. The contact also stated that the vehicle was experiencing difficulty when accelerating. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was 67,628 and the current mileage was unknown.”
