“See attached document for complaint. Attachment excerpt: RE: Safety Recall Notice 23S64/ NHTSA Recall 23V905 I have contacted your dealership numerous times regarding the recall notification I received for my 2019 Ford EcoSport service (Safety Recall Notice 23S64). It has been one year since I received the notification, and I have not been contacted regarding the replacement. I was told that the replacement part should arrive in October 2024, but it is now March 2025. I have been a loyal Sutton Ford customer, purchasing three vehicles from your dealership. …”
NHTSA complaint #11654801, filed 2025-04“See attached document for complaint. Unfortunately, I purchased the referenced car from Tasca Ford in Yonkers. The problems about the engine losing oil pressure, lights flashing, and the engine going dead are well known. The car's engine is dead and the car has been sitting in my garage for more than one year. I was told by Ford back in 2024 that the problem would be fixed. Then I was told in about June, 2024 that engine parts were needed to fix the problem and that the parts should be received within two months. Now, 15-months have gone by and I never heard another word from Ford. …”
NHTSA complaint #11688290, filed 2025-09“It gave me an engine code saying there was a connection issue but the car was drivable and that i needed to schedule service. No code saying your engine is failing. It was the holidays. Dealers were closing so i figured I'd call and schedule it for service. Never got the chance as it seized up on the interstate at 60mph. Thankfully i was able to safely get it to the emergency lane and then towed to the dealer. They are now saying i need a new engine due to oil pump failure and are refusing to cover the cost. I feel like this is due to there malfunction and they should be responsible.”
NHTSA complaint #11563359, filed 2024-01“The check engine light came on with (what Ford Service stated) and emissions error. Then three days later the check engine light came on along with the low oil pressure warning. The car was not accelerating and had stopped completely when driving on Saturday (the day the all the light come on). Did not drive the car until it my appointment with Ford Service on the following Weds. The service tech stated that the teeth if the oil pump were shredded and that I had metal shaving in the engine. The oil pressure was at 3PSI. That was only three days after the car was seen at the shop.”
NHTSA complaint #11546787, filed 2023-09“The contact owns a 2019 Ford EcoSport. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle, the low oil warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the oil pump had failed, which caused the engine failure. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be repaired. The vehicle was not repaired. …”
