“Brake peddle goes to the floor sometimes after a hard braking event. After pumping the brake peddle a few times, they come back. They sometimes go out when hitting a bump in the road also.again they come back after some vigorous pumping of the peddle. Fluid level is good. I haven't wrecked it yet, but I can for see a passable problem in the future.”

NHTSA complaint #11256409, filed 2019-09, 126,000 miles

“Vehicle was in motion, getting ready to stop at the end of my driveway when the brakes barely braked, and I had to push the pedal all the way to the floor to make a complete stop. It's like that all the time now. Took it to a mechanic who replaced the brake master cylinder. Did not fix the problem. Mechanic said it's the ABS system and that he sees that problem with a lot of fords.”

NHTSA complaint #11132200, filed 2018-09, 200,000 miles

“Brakes go to the floor and I almost had to stand on the brake pedal to stop. Drove it back home, and scanned it, ABS codes are leading to the hydraulic control unit. After research, it's a pricey repair. I just cant believe Ford has not stepped up, recalled and fixed the issue.”

NHTSA complaint #11270524, filed 2019-10, 135,000 miles

“While driving the ABS warning light comes on along with the check brakes took to a mechanic shop and was told it was the and module that was going out. They waited me a price of 2400 dollars to get a new module and 1200 to install. Took vehicle to the dealership and was told they could not find a problem. When I tried to drive it home the two lights came on and also the engine light. I called a weaker and had it dropped off at my house.”

NHTSA complaint #11355678, filed 2020-09, 105,000 miles

“I was driving the car out of nowhere my passenger break decided to lock up and started burning break pad so I took it to the dealer only to find out that I needed to replace my calipers break pads rotors and my ABS hcu which it run to 5 thousand dollars I also been reading about this problem from Ford Escape hybrids but Ford doesn't want to make a recall on them. People have families in cars and for us to be in accident due to the break faking on us should be a priority for Ford”
