“I pulled into a parking space at around 5-10 MPH, hit the brakes and the accelerator pedal stuck. The car took of at around 40-50mph jumped a fence and crashed into a ravine, hitting a big tree. I was pinned in the automobile hit my head and injured my leg. I was taken to the emergency room where I suffered a spinal cord injury and a huge hematoma on my left leg.”

NHTSA complaint #10519404, filed 2013-06, 80,903 miles

“Both of the hinges on the rear liftgate glass were cracked and splitting. The local dealer said that this could allow the rear glass to fall off in traffic causing both damage to my truck and to other motorist. I feel that this is a safety issue and should be recalled as an inferior part for Ford to be using on their vehicles.”

NHTSA complaint #10554210, filed 2013-11, 67,000 miles

“After pulling out of my garage I heard a loud banging noise. I pulled over and checked the area behind and above the right rear tire and saw that the shock and necessary attachments were completely rusted away from the frame.”

NHTSA complaint #11185752, filed 2019-03, 122,000 miles

“On the exterior of each of the four doors, there is a black film that covers the stainless steel of the window frame. This started peeling off 6 weeks after I bought the car without any contact with foreign objects other than rain. I thought that it was just my car at first, but in the years since, I have seen several other escapes with the same issue. This will eventually cause premature deterioration of the underlying steel if not remedied.”

NHTSA complaint #10990512, filed 2017-05, 45,000 miles

“I was driving on I 40 in garner, nc, and heard very loud noise, it was my moon roof, exploded, shattered. I looked on internet and found no recalls on this. Did find people who have complained about the same thing has happened to them with their escapes and Ford not going good for it, what does it take? Injury?”
