NHTSA complaint #11386920, filed 2021-01, 3,000 miles“Took my 2020 Escape into dealer due to recall #23B56/23V502 . Dealer stated that the door needs replacement , this was on Oct 22 ,2025. As of Jan 30 , 2026 Ford has yet to send part. I contacted Ford Customer Service on Jan 26 , 2026 and again on Feb 2, 2026 . They can't give me a date as to when part will arrive .”
NHTSA complaint #11715075, filed 2026-02“The door welds (arm check) have broken. I took it a ford dealer and have been told there is no recall. When I took it to a body shop, they told me all of the door welds are weak and need replacement. I was quoted $6500. For a new vehicle (2020) it seems like a manufacturing defect and there are no recalls and it is too expensive for me to fix. Please help.”
NHTSA complaint #11577846, filed 2024-03“after dealing with the loud popping of my door for one day, now my window will not roll down and when i open and close my door there is no tension at all. making me believe that the entire inside of my door panel fell apart. it’s scary because i’m worried i may not be able to open or close my door soon, or that it will stop latching.”
NHTSA complaint #11575450, filed 2024-03“The hinges in my drivers door have become unattached and need to be fixed. I was being quoted a 3800.00 to fix it. I have never driven a car that has had this issue. I am very dispappointed as this is my 5th Ford Escape and love the car. But this car is a piece of crap. The contact stated the bracket that holds the hinge pin weld broke inside the drivers side door.”
