“I have had electrical problems from the begining, then transmission problems they have attempted to repair then replace the transmission over 6 times. This vehicle has become unreliable at this point. I am trying to go through the Ford dispute settlement board at this point but I am looking for all the help I can at this point”

NHTSA complaint #10071073, filed 2004-01, 25 miles

“Since purchase I have traveled 80000 miles and have replaced the rotors 3 times and the pads 4 times on the front. The most current time the vehicle shakes so bad when I apply the brake that I have to alter my driving while stopping to avoid colliding with other vehicles. I have purchased the high heat rotors and ceramic pads to have the best possible parts on the vehicle and it still eats them up too often.”

NHTSA complaint #10153820, filed 2006-03, 106,000 miles

“My family's Ford Expedition had a goodrich long trail t/a tire disintegrate due to ply separation. We did not hit anything and the tire was properly inflated. This happened at 10:30 pm on a 70 MPH highway.”

“We own a 2001 Expedition the tires on this vehicle are the same tires recalled p275/60r17. I went to greenville to pick up my son on the way home I felt the vehicle shaking and did'nt know what was happening. I started slowing down and we hear a bang noise I pulled over into the emergency lane and checked my tires the back right side hade a large bare spot on the tire showing the separation and wires of the tire. My son who just had surgeryon his foot had to change the tire. No-one was hurt. …”

NHTSA complaint #10065996, filed 2004-04, 39,263 miles

“This is the second spark plug in less than 4 months that has blown out of the cylinder head out of our 2001ford Expedition. Please investigate this problem as it is occurring to many people. It is definitely a flaw in design and is costing people too much money to continue to fix. Ford has been no help. As the last time, while driving the spark plug just blows through the cylinder head on a vehicle that has been impeccably maintained.”
