“I started my truck and started down my driveway. The steering wheel was very hard to turn so I attempted to stop and the power brakes were out as well and only had manual brakes so I had to pull the steering wheel hard to turn and press the brakes very hard to stop the truck. I stopped the truck, turned it off then back on and the steering wheel with a whine and the brakes worked but not fully. It felt like the ABS was attempting to kick in when pressing the brake pedal. I took the truck to the dealership and they said the power steering pump went out and needs replaced. …”

“Vehicle bounces very dangerously causing vehicle to swerve into other lane. Pot holes shake vehicle into other lanes. Brakes do not hold well during shaking. Myself inside shake very heavily as well feeling like a bobble head. Steering becomes very difficult while shaking. It is so bad speaking is difficult during the shake. This happens at any speed above 55mph. This occurs most on highways but also on city streets.”

NHTSA complaint #10945404, filed 2017-01, 1,200 miles

“The vehicle was parked on an incline, with the front of the truck pointing up the slope. The transmission was shifted from drive to neutral, the parking brake was applied, and then the transmission was shifted from neutral to park. The vehicle was left unattended, and shortly after that, it rolled 10-15 feet backwards, with the transmission in park, and the parking brake fully applied. It was found stopped on level ground. Upon realizing what happened, I repeated the parking process using the same shift sequence, d-n-p, with the same results. …”

NHTSA complaint #11001272, filed 2017-06, 8,000 miles

“the emergency brake pads came off of the steel brake backing causing my rear tire to lock up. 1 of the 4 pads came off, broke and locked up the tire. After the repair I checked the other pads and noticed all 4 pads are coming off of the bonded steel emergency brakes. This is a very dangerous situation for anyone who experiences this situation while driving down the road.”
