“I was leaving my home with my travel trailer for vacation. I made it to the first traffic light and had great difficulty stopping the vehicle. The brake pedal went straight to the floor, I needed to use the trailer brakes to stop. After driving very slowly home I diagnosed the problem as a faulty brake line. This was not an ordinary type line, this was a stainless steel line that had some type of sealing device in the ends that failed. There are two more of the same type lines on the vehicle. I have great concern that if one of these lines failed will the other two fail? …”

“The contact owns a 2004 Ford f350 super duty. While driving 45 MPH the vehicle stalled without warning. Shortly afterwards while driving 20 MPH the rear brakes failed. Upon further inspection he noticed that the rear brake line was corroded, and that the valve cover gasket had failed. The dealer and manufacturer were contacted, but because the parts were unavailable no assistance was provided. He made the replacements himself. The current and failure mileages were 67,000.”
