“Driving down the highway at a speed of 70,truck began to vibrate uncontrollably changed lanes. Continue to vibrate uncontrollably in the front of the truck. Pulled safely to side of road. Expected to see flat tires. No flat tires. Turn truck off. Turn truck back on no issues again. I believe this was my first experience with the death wobble.”

NHTSA complaint #11565751, filed 2024-01

“On my 21 f350 I had a Gooseneck trailer attached and while it was in the process of getting loaded with no more than 5 thousand pounds. A very loud pop was heard. After a closer inspection I found that both rear leaf spring hanger brackets had split. Causing a safety issue.”

NHTSA complaint #11597336, filed 2024-06

“The rear axle repair was not completed and yet they reported that the dealer fixed it. Not true. The truck was taken in for repairs but the dealer was not able to fix it and told me that. They said I will have to get it fixed on my own. The rear axle is a known flaw and was required to repair or replace by the NHTSA. I wonder how many other trucks have also had incomplete repairs and then reported as fixed?”

NHTSA complaint #11475328, filed 2022-07

“While driving on a road with moderate potholes at about 45 miles per hour the steering wheel and front end stared violently shaking and did not stop until i came to a stop. I took it to the local ford dealership (Cavender Ford) and the service manager said it is a known issue and there is not a real solution for it. Apparently upon research it has been a known issue called Death Wobble. If I had been on a curve, in traffic or in bad weather there would have most certainly been an accident. …”

NHTSA complaint #11491815, filed 2022-11

The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact stated that while depressing the accelerator pedal after stopping, the vehicle was slow to respond.
