“This vehicle has horrible throttle response. When I take off normally then let off the gas then try and accelerate, there is a 2-3 second lag in acceleration. It’s dangerous because I’ve had times where I can’t get out of the way of oncoming traffic. Not all of these trucks have this and I want ford to rectify this for safety’s sake”

“Vehicle Safety Complaint – 2021 Ford F-350 I am submitting this complaint regarding a safety-related failure involving my 2021 Ford F-350. While driving under normal conditions, the vehicle suddenly entered “limp mode,” resulting in a significant and immediate loss of power. Approximately 20 miles later, the vehicle completely shut down, leaving me stranded and requiring the truck to be towed to Gene Messer Ford for diagnosis and repair. …”

NHTSA complaint #11735094, filed 2026-05

“The high pressure fuel pump failed sending metal shavings through out the entire fuel system. I had no heads up and the failure left me stranded on top of a bridge. I called 911 twice and finally the cops showed up and wrecker towed me off the bridge. Ford is aware of this known issue with this make and model, and even put a recall partial recall / quick fix to increase the flow around the pump to keep it cooler. I had the quick fix recall completed but it did not prevent the failure and me being stranded on a bridge.”

NHTSA complaint #11761855, filed 2026-09

Upon restart attempt vehicle failed to start. Vehicle was towed to and inspected by an independent service center. Mechanic advised, based on codes from check engine, the high pressure fuel pump failed and metal shavings were in my fuel system. Mechanic replaced pump, flushed system. Upon return of fixed vehicle power dropped out, check engine light appeard again. …”

NHTSA complaint #11648307, filed 2025-03

“Check engine light comes on almost everyday. After at least 5 minutes driving, this trucks engine will shut down with out notice. Usually when making a turn or coming to a stop light. When this happens you loose all steering control. You have to shift to neutral and try and restart. This has caused me to almost rearend a highway patrol vehicle. Very dangerous. I have had this vehicle in to the local Ford dealership on numerous occasions; however they will NOT run diagnostics to see what is happening. …”
