“I purchased this vehicle on 6/7/2022. Ford let me know there was a recall 2 days later. Ford tells me that I cannot drive the vehicle off of their lot until the parts have been replaced. Ford has no date available as to when the parts will be available. I would like to be able to drive the new truck I purchased. I have not even picked up the truck from the dealer.”

NHTSA complaint #11471231, filed 2022-06

“I was driving off the ramp merging onto another interstate when my sunroof exploded. There was nothing above me or any cars in front or back of me. The cloth sunroof cover shows no damage. I take it to Ted Russell Ford in Knoxville, TN and they deny my warranty. Stating something the size of a basketball hit my sunroof but the cloth barrier shows no sign of damage. I spoke with customer service and they refused to warranty the issue. This is a known issue with Ford and Lincoln and have thousands of complaints concerning this issue.”

NHTSA complaint #11524826, filed 2023-06

“Was driving at 06:30 in the morning on a multi-lane highway with light rain. Sudden explosion of the forward sunroof panel with glass shattering everywhere. It was a very loud boom that occurred. No other vehicles were close by so this was not a rock thrown. Plus the roof is 7 feet off the ground which makes it very unlikely with no other vehicles close by.”

NHTSA complaint #11664505, filed 2025-06

“Rear facing camera/back-up assistant distorted view. Problem confirmed by local dealer. Ford motor company impairing dealer's ability to complete repairs under warranty. Ford Motor Company mandating unrelated maintenance actions at customer expense ($350). More details contained in attachment: NHTSA FORD COMPLAINT”

NHTSA complaint #11669497, filed 2025-06

“The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-350 SD. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, there was an abnormal rattling sound coming from the roof. The vehicle was taken to a local independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed, and determined that the roof rack needed to be replaced. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where the failure was replicated. The vehicle was not repaired due to the VIN not being included in NHTSA Campaign: 25V729000 (Visibility). The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.”
