Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“When the vehicle is moving forward, and rear camera is selected to visibly confirm the status of anything behind the vehicle, there is a giant black bar/box that states full view not available Clearly this is a safety hazard in the sense that I am unable to rapidly assess and determine the status of anything behind my vehicle, be it a trailer, a hitch mounted bike rack, or another vehicle. Ford should be required to remove all of these distractions from their software immediately.”

NHTSA complaint #11741709, filed 2026-06

“My husband and I purchased a new 2022 F-350 Truck on 8/10/21. The tailgate has come open three times while the truck was being driven down the road. This is the same problem these trucks have had since the 2017 came out - six years now. We have had the truck into the local Ford dealership three times -- twice for them to run tests . The second time the tailgate came open on its own, it hit the trailer we were towing and damaged the tailgate, which now has to be replaced. …”

NHTSA complaint #11431402, filed 2021-09

“Today I was getting ready to blow some snow out of my driveway and had to move my truck. It's normally parked at a slight incline where putting it in park is usually sufficient and have never needed to use a parking brake. When I re-parked the truck, I had to put it in 4WD to get up in the driveway because we had a lot of wet slushy snow. So after I get it parked, I put it back in 2WD, put it in park, and turn off the ignition. I then got out of the truck and started over to the snow blower to get back to work. …”

NHTSA complaint #11494747, filed 2022-11

“I was driving off the ramp merging onto another interstate when my sunroof exploded. There was nothing above me or any cars in front or back of me. The cloth sunroof cover shows no damage. I take it to Ted Russell Ford in Knoxville, TN and they deny my warranty. Stating something the size of a basketball hit my sunroof but the cloth barrier shows no sign of damage. I spoke with customer service and they refused to warranty the issue. This is a known issue with Ford and Lincoln and have thousands of complaints concerning this issue.”

NHTSA complaint #11524826, filed 2023-06

“As a Ford owner, I can vividly recall the 1980’s Ford acronym ‘fix or repair daily’. That comes to mind as my 2022 F350 Platinum Dually has been in the shop for one thing or another more times in 3 years than my 2015 Chevy Impala LTZ has in 10 years. But I digress. The reason for this complaint is my latest malfunction on my Ford vehicle. As mentioned previously, it hasn’t been 3 years and yet another issue with my vehicle has come to light. My passenger roof trim has broken at the connection point, which of all things, was connected via rivet…beneath the rear glass. …”
