“While driving the vehicle at 60 to 65 MPH the dash came loose the radio system trim bezel hit driver in the head and the radio unit fell into dash and steering mechanism area. The manufacturer has confirmed the dash has not been installed correctly. The electrical system and steering of the vehicle became compromised at the time of incident.”

The contact stated while the vehicle was parked, while checking the coolant, the contact became aware that there were several mounting brackets used to secure the hood were missing from the engine compartment. The contact used tape to secure the hood. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact had received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V826000 (Latches/Locks/Linkages, Structure); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not taken to a dealer. …”
