2007 Ford Focus Visibility (wipers, defrost, mirrors) Problems

“I have a 2007 Ford Focus,my windshield started with a small crack coming from the fire wall area,below the dashboard. Over a few days it have grown in size,and another crack has started about two inches from where the first crack started. Neither crack is from impact with a foreign object.”

“I have a 2007 Ford Focus zx5 and have had nothing but problems with the climate control switches and cables I have replaced these several time from the control lever cable,heat control cable they have both broke several times and they will work for a while and then they break or will not work, I recently purchased the whole control switch with heat, climate control, and speed and the cables and the mechanism that it hooks up to and within a week it does not work again, when I go from vent to defrost it will not go to defrost it is on the vents with this being said this is very dangerous…”

“Dashboard and running lights going out. Replaced blown fuse and then fuse blows again. Opening and closing the hatchback the lights came on and then off again and the replaced fuse was blown. Located a bundle of wires within a rubber hose that runs from the interior roof headline outer rim of the vehicle across to the interior top of the hatchback. We pulled down this rubber protector to find to our complete amazement that the bundle of wires that run to the hatchback brake light and the hatchback windshield wiper was broken and burnt. …”

“I was on my way to work and the knob to change your air setting to defrost broke, which eventually cause my windshield to ice up and for me to go in the ditch.I took the car into Ford 3 times to get it fixed until they told me the main box that changes which direction the air comes out was broken ($2,000 fix) and the mechanic said its common on Focus's. I asked why it wasn't recall and they said its not a safety issue, I responded so your windshield freezing over and going in the ditch because of it isn't a safety issue? Then he agreed, but I guess Ford doesn't still.”

“Love my Ford for the most part; however, there seems to be a multitude of sensor problems ... The engine light keeps coming on and has to be rest again and again. The open door light stays on when headlights are running. Trunk opening button does not always work. The window closing button only works part time on front passenger side. The knobs for the heating/AC no longer work. The air directional button has also stopped working. Recently, the windshield wipers suddenly stopped working but it sounds like the motor is still working. I purchased my 2007 ff in 2011, paid it off in 2016. …”
