“Factory oem goodyear eagle ls-2s claim to be all season. From the first test drive these tires failed to have anything close to reasonable traction on snow and ice, resulting in the sales-rep being barely able to back the car out of the lot for a test-drive. Needless to say I wasn't thrilled about them. After getting the car onto the road, it seemed to do better, so I went ahead and purchased the vehicle. …”
NHTSA complaint #10795051, filed 2015-11, 25 miles“I have a 2014 Ford Fusion that comes with continental tires. In the 14 months I have owned the car , I have had 2 tires blow out. Prior to this car I never had a flat tire, now I've had 2 . The first blowout was at 1000 miles and the second tire blew out at 8000 miles. Both happened on roads where all the other cars drove by without issue. There are complaints all over the internet about how easily continental tires blow out. This is a serious safety risk and also the tires were almost $300 each to replace. …”
NHTSA complaint #10703035, filed 2015-04, 1,100 miles“Tire kept going low, and I took it to Walmart since I was closer to them and was told by the technician that the tire was separating at the rim area and it’s a manufacturer’s defect. They sealed the tire and told me it need to be replaced. He said it had good tread and shouldn’t do that. I informed him that I bought from Meineke. So I took it back to Meineke and was told that there was nothing they could do since it was sealed somewhere else.”
NHTSA complaint #11509469, filed 2023-02“I purchased 4 x Michelin Sport A/S Plus 225/50R17's in December of 2017 and have driven those set of tires 30,000 miles on a 45,000 mile tire. My car started wobbling and so I checked the tire and found severe wear in the INSIDE wall/top of both of my rear tires. I had to purchase two new tires because I felt it was not safe to drive. I have included a picture and you will see there is tread left on the tire and worn uneven. I also feel these tires are faulty and could cause an accident.”
NHTSA complaint #11425572, filed 2021-07“My child and I were traveling. We were getting off an exit to put some gas. That exit was a bit Icy with snow but when we saw it was to late to stop. On that exit their was a huge pot hole impossible to see and for me to stop in time, my speed was 35 mph and slowing down on the exit. When i went down the exit and hit the pot hole it sounded horrible my son started to panic and i pulled over right away. My tire pressure light turn on as soon as we hit the pot hole. I was very lucky that a man saw everything and came to help. …”
