“When my tire pressure gets low -not accompanied by the low tire pressure light- the advanctrac light as well as service power steering light come on the command center. I am able to drive it safely, but the next time that I turn my car on after that, the power steering has always been out.”
NHTSA complaint #10643490, filed 2014-10, 91,000 miles“Leased a new 2010 Ford Fusion on 1/30/10. I had 2 tire issued with this vehicle. Flat left rear on about 5/17/11 with 5349 miles which was plugged and a blow out on a highway on about 11/17/2010 which was so bad I had to replace the tire (not over 10,000 miles) I believe there is a problem with this group of tires.”
NHTSA complaint #10392682, filed 2011-03, 10,000 miles“While driving down a highway, my low tire pressure light came on and I could tell it was very low due to my ability to steer. I pulled in a gas station and tried to fill the tire with air, but it was blown out on the inside wall and remained flat. I put the spare tire on and when I began to pull away, I realized I had no power steering. Warning lights came on in succession for low tire pressure (still?), service power steering and service advancetrac. I was about 40 miles from home and had to drive in slow lanes as steering was very difficult. …”
NHTSA complaint #10660721, filed 2014-11, 70,200 miles“I have just had this fixed 2 weeks ago for the same problem. January 24, 2013 my power steering and advance trac light came on again. I took it to the mechanics today and they tell me that the tires may need to be replaced and I have even done 60,000 miles on the tires-yet they are worn out already. I knew I needed tires, my inspection is due next month. I have only had this car for 3 years and I am already having problems with it. I'm angry! I thought fords were better built now-a-days. Wrong............I'm so disappointed with this car. Fairly new and having what I consider major problem.”
NHTSA complaint #10561850, filed 2014-01, 83,381 miles“I own a 2010 Ford Fusion and I have been having problems with the brake pedal going down to the floor. The brakes are soft, and the brake pedal is not operating correctly. I took it to a shop to have the brakes check to see if I needed new brake pads or what the issue was. I was referred to the dealer for possible factory warranty brake condition, stating it has TSB on brake booster switch, brake pedal level switch problem. I have taken my car to the dealer 3 times and they state there is nothing wrong with the brakes, but when driving the vehicle the brakes are not operating correctly. …”
