NHTSA complaint #11399079, filed 2021-03, 195,000 miles

“Advance steering service light came on, once I stopped and restarted the car had no power steering. I let the car die and let it reset itself (battery disconnected) and put it back together still no steering went to a shop they saw 2 codes one was to due with the electronic steering the other was transmission failure due to the the steering code issue.”

NHTSA complaint #10725359, filed 2015-06, 117,000 miles

“I am receiving numerous power steering assistance failure warnings. It happens upon starting my car and it's now becoming more frequent. The result is a total loss of power steering. I know Ford has recalled this item but my year (2010) was excluded. I believe this is a significant enough safety issue to warrant an addendum to the recall to include the year 2010.”

NHTSA complaint #10761957, filed 2015-09, 64,500 miles

“I purchased this car new in 2009. With in a few months I had problems with the transmission. Putting the car into drive it would slam in the gear, not all the time but multiple times each month. The transmission slips while driving and will not shift properly, again randomly. Dealer can never duplicate the problem. I will put the last time this happened below as I do not recall the date the first time it happened”

NHTSA complaint #11079670, filed 2018-03, 5,000 miles

“Engine stalls/shuts down while driving. Check engine light came on. Alarm p2111 came up. Throttle actuator control system - stuck open. My vehicle stalled while turning left with oncoming traffic. It did this 3 times while driving home from work. This is an intermittent issue. I take it to the dealer, they adjust, it works for a while, then occurs again. This is a very dangerous problem.”
