“I was driving home the car started shaking and idling very rough. Check engine light came on and the car died on me right in the middle of traffic. I was stuck on a city street during rush hour traffic.got it to a dealer coil pack had exploded frying the power train control module. Research shows this is an issue on fusions 2006-2009. But no resolutions are offered by Ford.”
NHTSA complaint #10979276, filed 2017-04, 85,400 miles“Was not notified of any recalls on this vehicle when I purchased it. I had an accident last month and the brakes locked up and I couldn't control the steering and went careening off the roadway into a stationary sign and tow up the passenger side of my vehicle. The passenger air bag never deployed. Nor the driver air bag.”
NHTSA complaint #11015246, filed 2017-08, 100,000 miles“Why isn't there a recall on the brakes and transmission, our brake pedal went all the way down to the floor on a few occasions, then it seemed fine, and it would happen again, there have been numerous complaints on this issue, we had to pay $2,700 to have Ford fix it, and the transmission jumps, when you step on the gas the car lurches and this is going to cost a lot of money that we don't have.”
NHTSA complaint #10875760, filed 2016-06, 128,000 miles“The transmission started being difficult to shift into gear. Then, I have started hearing a whirring sound from the engine compartment. After reading up on some of the problems, it appears my torque converter is dying! Which will lead to total transmission failure!! $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ thanks Ford!”
NHTSA complaint #10870180, filed 2016-05, 143,000 miles“The rear carrier bearing is already wearing out. From searching around on the internet, this is a known problem. My car only has 65000 miles on it, there should be no reason for this to happen. You can't find a replacement bearing, so it makes me thing Ford knows about the issue but is not willing to do anything about it; leaving people to hope the drive shaft doesn't fall out going down the road.”
