“My trunk keeps popping open. It does not matter if my car is in motion or parked. The doors unlock/lock when trunk pops open and the lights flash (as if walking out to your car and hitting unlock on key fob). It seems to happen more often in direct sunlight but does happen during the night as well.”

NHTSA complaint #11384628, filed 2020-12, 100,000 miles

“The front passenger car door will not lock in place the latch seems to be broke and nothing was done to it out of the norm so I have no clue why but it is a safety hazard because I can't drive with the passenger side door opening and closing as I blow through the wind the vehicle was stationary when the door would not close I was at a 7 eleven parked when my friend came back to the car it would not stay closed.”

NHTSA complaint #11326381, filed 2020-05, 87,000 miles

“2 weeks ago as I'm driving and make a left turn the rear passenger door flies open nearly causing my 10 month old nephew to fall out of the moving vehicle. My niece had to grab his carseat from the sheer fear and panic of the incident. I immediately pull over to console and calm down my nephew and realized the door latch is broken and the door won't close and stay shut. And also realized he had a small bruise on his right cheek from the lash of his car seat being secured by the seatbelt and bumped his face against the car seat. …”

NHTSA complaint #11015973, filed 2017-08, 44,148 miles

“The trunk will pop open by itself at different times. Sometimes sitting in the driveway, other times it has happened while the car was driving. Ford dealership hasn't been able to recreate the issue and says nothing is wrong. This has been a commonplace complaint on various Ford forums.”

NHTSA complaint #11373128, filed 2020-11, 60,000 miles

“I Had my car at Southgate Ford from 0ct 17- 20. During this time my car was to be serviced for the recalls. However upon receiving my car back. I was told the recall that is showing incomplete( door latches) was unable to be repaired due to the car only being registered in MI and PA. At this time it is showing my vin is still showing said recalls as incomplete.”
