“Both the Blind Spot and Cross Traffic warning systems work erratically or not at all. Even after software update and reset. Cross traffic will sense a small car then ignore the bus next? Same with Blind Spot very inconsistent or not functional! Dealer is less than helpful. Any trip to the dealer means leaving your vehicle with them all day so they can put off working on it until the last minute.”
NHTSA complaint #11641464, filed 2025-02“The contact owns a 2023 Ford Maverick. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the Lane Departure feature malfunctioned, causing the vehicle to erroneously steer outside the driving lane and lines. Additionally, after locking the vehicle, it was discovered that only the front driver’s side door had locked, and other doors remained unlocked. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 100.”
