“There are multiple exposed screws in the rear wheel wells facing inward towards the tires that could pose a tire puncture danger should the vehicle encounter an extreme terrain. I own 2 of these vehicles and the condition exists in both, I also reported the issue to the dealership and they inspected similar vehicles on the lot and they all had the same issue”
NHTSA complaint #11611454, filed 2024-08“Don't know if this is the right form to fill out, but I have an issue with my car that has happened 3 times. When it rains hard water comes in through the passenger front side of the vehicle, I can't seem to find where is coming from. Have not taken the car to the dealer yet as I want them to see the water in the car to they can diagnose, have seen online that other people have faced the same issue.”
NHTSA complaint #11612078, filed 2024-09“Vehicle locked down and doors would not open or respond. Vehicle was completely prevented from getting into and a tow was required to try to open through 12v battery jump. Took two tow trucks and vehicle has no door handles so there is no way in. Ford told me it was a failure of software update and then they told me their engineers were aware of these failures and were working on it. Vehicle had to be reset and towed.”
NHTSA complaint #11634129, filed 2025-01“I am locked out of the car despite having keys and phone in hand. When I was in the car it wouldn’t start. Screen was black. I got out of the car to try other doors. When I got back to driver door, the car was locked and I tried all normal modes to get in the car. It is NOT the 12 volt battery. I tried to use the manual jump to get the hood to pop open but it didn’t work. If I had a baby in the car and it was hot out, this could be a life-threatening disaster.”
NHTSA complaint #11603599, filed 2024-07“While going through the car wash the cover, that covers the charging port opened. The plunger that locks the cover in place was broken off. I contacted Ford to see if this was something that would be covered under warranty and they stated no. When looking on forums, it is a common issue and the Ford representative suggested that I place “painters tape” over the cover when using a car wash. There is no guidance on this and the manual and no direction to do. This is given when purchasing the vehicle. …”
