“In december 2018 my car began to make crunching, squeaking and chirping sounds coming from the front suspension when driving slowly over uneven surfaces, small cracks in road, going slowly over speed bumps or up driveway ramps. There is also a noticeable shimmy in the steering wheel at over 30 MPH. In january, my Ford service advisor told me I need to replace both front control arm assemblies for approx $1,700 which comes as a huge shock to me considering my car has only 14,000 miles on it!!! …”

NHTSA complaint #11502903, filed 2023-01“Takata recall. The contact owns a 2010 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that the steering wheel was abnormally hot and the front of the vehicle was shaking. In addition, the vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign number: 15v319000 (air bags) but the part was not available for several months to receive the recall repair. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed that there was no part availability date for the recall. The failure mileage was not available. Vin tool confirms parts not available.”
