“This incident happened several times. While driving in the city the rpms would go down while accelerating losing power and hardly moving the car. At one point I almost get rear ended because as I was accelerating from a green light the car totally stalled and would accelerate very slowly. …”

NHTSA complaint #10650765, filed 2014-10, 83,635 miles

“The week after getting my airbag replaced at the Ford dealership on my 2011 Mustang it began having a problem. While driving, without warning, the vehicle's wrench warning light comes on and the vehicle goes into idle mode. The car will not accelerate and you have to pull over, turn the engine off, and then restart the car. This has happened going though intersections, riding on highways and all other places. I ride in the slow lanes on highways just incase it shuts down. This is a safety issue and should be recalled.”

NHTSA complaint #10913587, filed 2016-10, 60,000 miles

“I was on interstate 59 north. I pressed the brakes, they were locked up. Car began to accelerate on its own. Neither would function. Before attempting to engage the emergency brake, I put the car into neutral, attempting to slow it and distance myself from any traffic that was nearby. Once I put it in neutral, it began to slow, accelerator and brakes unlocked, allowing me to come to a stop on the side of the road. Called Ford, they've towed it to a local dealership. I've read sooooo many reports online, but Ford is giving excuses and blaming it on customers. …”

NHTSA complaint #10627409, filed 2014-08, 43,086 miles

“There are times where I am able to apply complete pressure to my Mustang's acceleration pedal and upon removing my foot from the pedal, the vehicle continues to accelerate. On february 4th, 2015, my car continued acceleration on what was luckily an open highway. I attempted to apply my brakes and they seemed to slow the vehicle down somewhat. Upon releasing the brake pedal, the vehicle began accelerating again. I had to repeatedly jam my foot into the gas pedal to break it free. I was able to replicate this same issue directly afterwards. Next, I parked my vehicle and turned it off. …”

NHTSA complaint #10681283, filed 2015-02, 58,301 miles

“Was pulling into parking spot at church and the car surged forward and hit a concrete wall. Foot was on the brake pedal coming to a stop; was going slowly when the car suddenly lunged forward. The bumper and hood were damaged and will need to be replaced. Took to Ford dealership to run diagnostic, but they said all codes were within specs . This was the first experience with surge. Neck a little stiff and son hurt elbow (but is ok). Now will have car body repaired and hope this doesn't happen again. Scary.”
