“My wife was traveling on an hwy 59 in north west ia . At 55 MPH when the left rear tire blew out and the tread seperated the steel belts were showing . I had just recently dicarded the tire in perry, ia. I know its not under recall but they might want to take a look at them. If anything comes up please feel free to contact me thank you, rich o'dell( DOT number: tire size: p265/75r15 )”

NHTSA complaint #728857, filed 2000-08

“I had 4 firestone fr480 that came with my pickup. I replaced two. The other two have 8/32 tread left as of this date. However, the tread is starting to separate from the tires. I cannot receive any satisfaction out of the Ford motor company here in petoskey michigan so I am asking you what I can do. I don't want to die in a vehicle crash when they separate. ( DOT number: tire size: p22570r14 )”

NHTSA complaint #727871, filed 2000-08

“This tire was not included in their recall and we are concerned about it. We tried to make a complaint at the time it occured but no one wanted to listen, we have pictures of the tire and it is clear that it was not operator error but a defect with the tire and we were extremely lucky not to be injured when it blew. Please recall this year tire as well since others could have been injured! Thank you. (tiresize: p235/75r15)( DOT number: tire size: p235/75r15 )”
