“On several occasions, the left turn signal has failed to work properly - when it fails, the signal will either not come on at all or will remain lit continuously (instead of flashing), even if the turn signal switch is off. In addition, when the signal fails, smoke comes out of the steering column near the hazard flasher switch and/or turn signal switch. I have ordered a replacement turn signal switch (and will be replacing it as soon as the new part arrives) - I will keep the old part.”

The dealer stated that the recall doesn't pertain to his vehicle and they would have to diagnose the problem to determine how to assist him. Scc”

Then, driving about 2 miles and up the bridge, suddenly the vehicle slowly came to a stop within quick time and stalled on the uphill direction. A few attempts to restart, I was not successful. The police was called and came to push the Ranger down the bridge to the safety area and waiting two hours later for the tow-truck to tow to the Ford dealer. And, the diagnosis was that the fuel pump is out. This vehicle had histories of repair since the first year and thereafter .”
