“I've owned my car for the last 6 years and after a hard rain or a constant rain, the passenger front floor gets soaking wet with water and I have to use towels and then run the heater on the floor for a couple hours to get it dry. Very annoying. Thankfully I haven't had any electrical issues related to this problem.”

NHTSA complaint #10660742, filed 2014-11, 50,000 miles

“I have a 2006 Ford Taurus that is leaking water into the front passenger floor. I notice that there are multiple complaints of this nature. When taking the car to brighton Ford dealer (tom holzer); they refused to even attempt to repair. This should be fixed at the manufacturer's expense. First noticed this problem in june 2009 and it leaks every time it rains.”

NHTSA complaint #10336642, filed 2010-06, 62,000 miles

“When there is a heavy rain. Water builds up on the floor boards of the front passenger side of the vehicle. Researching this online I notice that there are many others with similar problems which leads me to believe that this sis a defect rather than a one time thing. The cause of the leak seems to be in the engineering of the in-cabin filter and crowl.”

NHTSA complaint #10294215, filed 2009-12, 70,000 miles

“I have a 03 Taurus which leaked water onto the passenger floor board also causing my AC blower motor to short out. I could not get Ford to act even though a related recall existed under 03v087000. I have found many others with this problem.”

NHTSA complaint #10233072, filed 2008-07, 43,000 miles

“I have a 2006 Ford Taurus. I used to live in texas and moved to buffalo area this summer. This morning when I drove my car out of the parking lot and onto the street road, the driver door suddenly opened by itself. Then I was trying to close the door while I was trying but all failed. Then I had to pull my car in the nearby parking space and stopped the car. Eventually after trying quite a few times, I could close the door. This morning was pretty cold and below freezing temperature. After this incident, I checked with some of my colleagues and friends. …”
