Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“My trunk iced over and I accidentally hit the key fob to release the trunk. Next time I go to access the trunk, to my surprise, it does not open. I tried the key release, dash release, manual key unlock, and interior emergency trunk release - none worked. There was no way the to access the trunk. I had to wait a few weeks to take it to the dealer and I’m now sitting here waiting for the resolution. Either way, there is no time or circumstance I should not be able to access the trunk automated or manual; however, that is the design flaw case with this model Genesis.”
