“I own a Gmc Acadia 2009. I purchased it in march of 2018 with 136,402 miles on it. First that went was the catalytic converters, second my stabliltrak system and traction system said my break was on when it wasn't, thrid was my right rear tire pressure was low and it was not and fourth my battery started going low while driving it. While I noticed all these major issues I noticed my radio doesn't work right, the left side of my car has no volume in the speakers and my lights aren't working right. …”

“Takata recall: I'm having idle/stalling issues with my 2009 Gmc Acadia. Car cuts off while driving causing a safety hazard. First, I had my car inspected by local licensed mechanic who diagnosed a timing chain issue and cat converter issue. I followed by call a Gmc dealer and informing them of my car problems. They scheduled my car for an inspection since they have an extended warranty for timing chains. They inspected my vehicle and informed me since the timing chain wasn't making noises they wouldn't diagnose it as a problem. …”

NHTSA complaint #11022896, filed 2017-09, 89,000 miles

“Vehicle had a slight misfiring when climbing incline. We replaced two spark plugs. Misfiring calmed down. A couple days later misfiring resumed. Husband was driving daughter to daycare when car had multiple dts codes appeared (stability track, check engine, reduced power) with car suddenly stalling while on a highway leaving barely enough time to coast off the road and out of the way of traffic traveling 60mph. Gmc refused to assist us on this issue until we found online a TSB about the timing chain which had broken. …”

“As my wife pulled out of the driveway, she heard a clunk noise, and she had to apply a lot of effort to straighten out the vehicle. My wife has stated that this is almost a common issue with the steering and many times she has to use a lot of force to steer the vehicle in a straight line. We took the vehicle to the dealership who stated that this is a common occurrence and that it would cost $400 to repair this problem. We declined the repair and felt that this was as safety issue and that it should be repaired without any costs to us. …”

NHTSA complaint #10608759, filed 2014-07, 35,000 miles

“First problem was the timing chains needing to be replaced at 18000 miles. After that repair was made the gas mileage was averaging 11 mpg. It was a one year old car! After that, it was a multitude of problems. Steering rack/power steering replaced and 'fixed', electric stabilitrak lights going on and off, dvd player not playing properly. All things the dealer had said they fixed (after they whispered that I should not have bought an american car.) now the transmission is acting up. Rolling down an incline when I was trying to back out of a parking spot. …”
