Ithe steering shaft became disengage from the axel. I crashed into trees and my truck was declared a total loss. This happened on 9/27/2020. I am waiting for the police report and the inspection results from the insurance company.”

“During normal vehicle operation (while driving on a state highway) the dashboard adjacent to the passenger air bag cracked. It is on the back left corner of the framework around the air bag cover on the windshield side. I do not store anything on top of the dashboard and always use an aluminized sunscreen protector in the windshield 9 out of 12 months. I do not know what caused the crack to occur (unknown cause).”

Has happened several times since november 2015 on city streets or highways can happen at any time. I had to replace entire system from throttle body to the pedal assembly have found out that this is common problem that GM knows about along with the cracks in the dash around air bag on passenger side and the instrument cluster and refuses to recall and fix cracks in air bag housing could pose a safety hazard along with loss of engine power from faulty wiring.”
