“I have been smelling a strong odor of gas coming thru my air vents while my vehicle is running, particularly while I am idling and just after acceleration. My mechanic stated he has repaired several of these issues on other Gmc's. The problem is the top of the fuel tank is rusted where the fuel pump is located and gas sprays upwards onto the bottom side of the bed and is very costly and difficult to repair. I'm sure GM is aware of the problem, however, they have chosen to ignore the issue. This is most definitely a safety issue!”
NHTSA complaint #11121740, filed 2018-08, 100,000 miles“P0521 has been addressed/replaced almost nine (9) times. “Low Oil Pressure-Stop Engine” is another one that is not completely functional. The truck is using oil but we cant find evidence of leakage. Services performed at dealership or certified shop. Troubleshooting was performed, Im told. I cant vouch for the quality of the workmanship. This should not be an issue at this mileage 100,100 ohe hundred thousand miles and oil components going bad is not good. GMC has sold me a truck that needs a new engine component. Please help. …”
NHTSA complaint #11652682, filed 2025-04“Lags when accelerating. Does not happen every time. Causes safety issues when in heavy traffic. The below date is when it started. It happens very regularly.”
