“The fuel in the tank is splashing around and makes bump sound when you come to a stop and is worse when the fuel take is full and goes away the lower the tank gets. GMC has a service bulletin out PIT5161J stating this is a normal condition. This is not normal, I have never had any vehicle I have owned have a fuel tank noise let alone have felt a bump that you can feel in the seat. There is obviously something manufactured wrong and needs to be addressed.”
NHTSA complaint #11513606, filed 2023-03“The fuel pump control module went bad and the vehicle shut off while driving. The vehicle is only 3 years old. Everyone I know with a GM truck or SUV has had the same issue and the dealer service writer even told me they get at least 6 vehicles with the same issue per week. There is already a recall for GM SUV's for 2021-22 model years but not for anything else even though many other vehicles have the same issue. They replaced the module under warranty but it is all but guaranteed to just keep happening.”
NHTSA complaint #11756888, filed 2026-08“purge pump failing confirmed at dealership this part has been recalled on same truck but not specifically this vin . I was told I need to report it to you guys so that it could ge added.”
NHTSA complaint #11760943, filed 2026-08“Getting off on highway and when I got to the light the truck stuttered and shut off. will not turn back on. when I try to start it it stutters and will not turn on”
NHTSA complaint #11722475, filed 2026-03“Driving truck at highway speed and went to pass a group of slower vehicles on my right. I increased speed to 75 mph and the engine stopped and I had no acceleration. Engine would not shift into Neutral and would not restart. I coasted off to an exit ramp and the truck stopped in the middle of it blocking traffic for about an hour. Highway Patrol was on site to help direct traffic through the intersection of the off ramp and side road. We sat for approximately an hour before a tow truck could get us out of the intersection. …”
