“I bought a 2023 GMC Sierra Elevation pickup truck and I need towing mirrors and GM will not sell me them. They offer them if you order a truck which takes a long time. I had to buy my truck off the dealers lot because I had an accident with my previous truck. I tow a 34' long 8' wide travel trailer and feel it is a safety hazard not having towing mirrors to safely see, drive and maneuver my travel trailer driving. I don't buy any excuses that they're not available due to shortages. …”
NHTSA complaint #11536780, filed 2023-08“--Unwanted Reduction in The Front HVAC Blower Speed and Loss of Radio, Auto AC not working as designed --driver seat vibrating as the lane departure warning activated; I had turned the seat vibrate function off on 25 June 2023. I then went into settings to turn the function off again, and the system would not allow to make the change, it stayed in vibrate function --the passenger front window will not go up automatically, had to hold the button to make the window go up all the way. I then had a message in the DIC, that said, “Open and close passenger door”. …”
NHTSA complaint #11538208, filed 2023-08“The plastic upper rail glass guide frame on the rear sliding window assembly of my 2023 GMC Sierra developed structural micro-cracks during normal vehicle operation. This manufacturing defect is a known issue tracked internally by the manufacturer under Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) #18-NA-383.This structural failure allows severe water intrusion into the passenger cabin. …”
NHTSA complaint #11743475, filed 2026-06“While driving in the rain, the windshield wipers were on the highest intermittent setting and the high beam headlights were also on, automatic highbeams were not. The high beam lights dimmed to low, and the windshield wipers stopped in the middle of the windshield in the middle of navigating a sharp right hand turn at 35mph. The wipers stopped for approximately 30 seconds and then resumed operation. When the wipers resumed operation, the headlights also turned back on high with no input from the driver.”
NHTSA complaint #11701356, filed 2025-11“Front blind spot visibility is dangerous and GMC does not provide a forward facing camera standard. Blind spot warning also not standard and visibility is subpar.”
