“I was driving down the road and I heard a loud pop and then the car's front end passenger side dropped to the ground and was dragging when I got out I realize the rim was split down the middle into pieces and it caused the ball joint on the lower control arm to separate and caused other damage”
NHTSA complaint #11153385, filed 2018-11, 190,000 miles“My wheel bearings were replaced under warrant at 50,000 miles. Two years later, both of my wheel bearings are bad again. It appears there are other incidents of wheel bearings on 2010 Honda accords going bad under 100,000 miles. I believe this is a safety issue and concerned that this problem could be wide spread.”
NHTSA complaint #10915529, filed 2016-10, 50,000 miles“On 3/18/15 I took our 2010 Honda Accord with 28,037 miles to suburban Honda in farmington hills,mi for a oil change, the service manager notified me that the driver side rear pads have worn out to the point of wearing out the rotor beyond turning to repair, and I need a new caliper that as we know must be replaced in pairs. …”
NHTSA complaint #10789846, filed 2015-11, 28,037 miles“In november, I purchased 4 new continental extremecontact dws for my car. In march, during pothole season, I quickly learned that these new tires have soft sidewalls and easily develop sidewall bubbles. I had to replace two of the tires during this time period. I've never - in my 15 years of driving - had to replace a tire due to a sidewall bubble. Curious, I typed continental dws sidewall bubble into google and found online forums loaded with folks complaining of the same issue. …”
NHTSA complaint #10721204, filed 2015-05, 55,000 miles“August 01, 2011. Whirling sound coming from right front of car. Increased sound with speed increase. Honda dealer replaced right front wheel bearing in warranty. 2010 Honda Accord 10,013 miles. October 20 2014 left front wheel bearing reported bad by Honda. No warranty 29,000 miles. Same car what a joke.”
