Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“I was driving about 35-40 MPH on a city street when a car in front had no lights in front of me was slowing down. I made impact with the car causing my head to hit the steering wheel knocking me out. My teeth were pushed in and three teeth had to be removed and my lip swelled up. If my airbag would of deployed I could of avoided these injuries.”

NHTSA complaint #11217792, filed 2019-06, 120,000 miles

“For whatever reason since I got this car there is something extremely off with the laceration being a bit delayed and the car steering us extremely delicate keeping the car not steady driving in a single lane straight without going left or right is impossible. As well when extremely turning right or left steering wheel shakes a bit. I habe also just received a recall notice about my air bags”

NHTSA complaint #11377411, filed 2020-12, 32,000 miles

“I was in a car accident, the car was hit head on, the car was totaled and the air bags did not deploy. There was a recall on my air bags that was fixed a year ago. I need to know why they were never deployed and if there was a malfunction”

NHTSA complaint #11301121, filed 2020-01, 66,000 miles

“Takata recall? (no mention of the airbag manufacturer was made in the recall letter). I received a recall notice from Honda in july of 2016. Stating that Honda will send me another letter when parts are available to repair my vehicle. Also stating that Honda suggests that you avoid having a passenger sit in the front passenger's seat until the recall repair has been performed . This was 6 months ago. 6 months is a long time to operate a vehicle without being able to have a passenger in the front seat. …”
