“I bought 2017 Honda Accord and within a day there were 2 air bag signs came up. Called dealership and they said whenever you come this side bring the car. They checked the car that weekend and found a faulty srs module. They replaced it, but how a new car have a faulty srs module? How quality control dept. Stamped it without checking it? What if something would have happened to me?”

NHTSA complaint #10934489, filed 2016-12, 12,000 miles

“I was driving southbound on md 301 highway in the far right lane (4th lane) going 45mph. The other vehicle was headed northbound on md 301 and made a left turn onto the sb lanes crossing all lanes. The collision occurred when the driver attempted to cross the 4th sb lane (my lane). I hit the car without breaking as I was traveling 45mph. This was a head on collision with extensive front end damage. My airbags did not deploy. There other vehicle had airbag deployment.”

NHTSA complaint #11286544, filed 2019-12, 44,000 miles

“Then manual states the air bag will go off at under 65 lbs. My 85 lb. Grandson, weighed january 9, 2018, makes the air bag go off when he sits in the front passenger seat. The car is not running but stationery. The light off stays lite the whole time he is in the seat. I have gone on the internet and see that others have had the same experience. My dealer just tells me that the grandson should sit in the back seat. Can this be fixed to activate the air bag for the over 65 lb. Limit?”
