“Airbag warning sign comes and disappears randomly. Attached is the warning sign. There are other accords that showed recall for airbags. I think my car is also in the category. The issue has been happening for over a month. Light appears both while stopped and in motion, randomly and stays for so long the car is on and the disappears when restarted the car.”

NHTSA complaint #11383530, filed 2020-12, 95,000 miles

“When the car is switched on and started driving, randomly the yellow passenger airbag light on the center dashboard would start blinking. Blinks with a 5 second gap almost. And randomly after that happens, I get the are airbag light on my dash saying suppliment system restraint problem. See your dealer . In order to reset this, I have to switch off the car, wait for a few minutes and start again. Sometimes this issue would come right away after starting the car, sometime not for days. Reading the code, it's gave the following code b00d5-14.”

NHTSA complaint #11383158, filed 2020-12, 95,000 miles

“Airbag system not consistently activated with small adults (5'4 , 110 lb. And 5'8 , 115 lb.) passengers. Have followed all troubleshooting steps, I.e. Nothing obstructing seat, passenger sitting fully upright, etc. Dealership and american Honda state it is functioning as engineered even though owner's manual states plainly that it should function at > 65 lbs and adults should not ride in the seat if this occurs. Occurs inconsistently while in motion and parked.”

NHTSA complaint #11123332, filed 2018-08, 8,000 miles

“The SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) warning light is lit up on dashboard. Does not go away. Mentioned it to the dealership and I was told having items in the seat could trigger it or if there not enough weight. But even if there nothing or someone in my passenger seat the SRS aways come up.”

NHTSA complaint #11740962, filed 2026-05

“Passenger airbag cutoff indicator shorted-out, causing my passenger side airbag to have the potential not to deploy in the event on an accident. Vehicle is less than four years old and numerous problems are cropping up with the electrical equipment, including this short of the passenger airbag cutoff indicator, which I believe is a safety issue.”
