1994 Honda Accord Air bags Problems

“I was involved in a car accident traveling 35 MPH, where I hit the passenger side of another vehicle with my front end. During the impact I recall my body moving forward, the seat belt restraining me, and my head continued to move forward hitting my chest. Due to the late deployment of the airbag, the impact of the airbag occurred on top of my head. I was knocked unconscious and it complicated the injuries to my neck and head. I also received an airbag burn on my right wrist from the escaping gas from the airbag vent.”

“My wife was parking the car at approx 5 MPH. She had her foot on the brake but suddenly the car accelerated itself and crashed into the wall 2-3 feet away. The 2 airblags deployed, breaking the windshield, the front of the car have severe damages ,and my wife broke 4 bones on her right foot trying to stop the car by stepping hard on the brake.”

“I bought a 1994 Honda Accord on february 2, 2010. After having the vehicle for about a week, the left tire rod broke on the car.,,,, it was towed to a service center to get repaired on 2/13/2010, then as I drove the car on 2/16/2010, the steering wheel pulled very hard to the right enabling me to steer, and crashed me into a big curve...I was rushed to the hospital and had to undergo 2 surgeries with having to get a tracheostomy in place..I still have it as of today. I am undergoing therapy,outpatient surgery and frequent er visits..”

“Dt: on september 9, 2005 the contact's vehicle was involved in an accident while driving at 35 MPH. . Upon impact, air bags did not deploy. Another car attempted to turn in front of consumer's vehicle and hit it on the front driver's side. The contact sustained a whiplash from the crash. Vehicle was totaled. It had to be towed. Dealer said the air bags would not work if hit on the side. Manufacturer has not been contacted yet. The police came and a report was taken.”

“The vehicle was stopped. A driver going the opposite direction ran a red light and crashed his vehicle into the front end of my vehicle. Estimated speed of other vehicle at impact was approximately 45 miles per hour (according to verbal report of investigating police officer). Neither of the dual airbags deployed!”
