NHTSA complaint #10094806, filed 2004-10, 97,000 miles“On my way back from mt rushmore on july4 on i90 e to st paul, mn , something happened resulting in steering pull, tire overheating and eventually the tire layers came off hitting the fenders & bumpers causing some damage..I suspect the problem may be related with tire stem..fortunately there were no major casualties...I still feel horrified by the incident..something must be done to avoid such incidents..”
NHTSA complaint #10000473, filed 2003-01“Car is experiencing slow air leak on 2 wheels. Tires and valve stems were replaced on all 4 wheels. The slow leaks continue. I was told by the dealer that my alloy rims (standard on ex model) may be responsible for the leak. I see no other possibility since the tires and valve stems were replaced and the probem wasn't solved. Reading failures reports for the 94 Accord model, I find similar problems described by other owners. If there is a pattern of leaky alloy rims on 94 Honda Accord models, this is a serious safety issue.”
