“At rest stop on nj turnpike while pulling into fillup a gasoline pump my motor began racing and I could not stop the car, a 1994 Honda Accord. I hit a large van/small motor home in front of me and sustained $4187 in dammage. No one was hurt and the airbags did not deploy.”
NHTSA complaint #10067660, filed 2004-04, 37,344 miles“Tamara recall , I bought the c a e from birthday auto auction and I had it for 2\1 months and it's started making a struggling sound and would take longer to start up then after that the whole enguin started to shake and the thermometer went out then it wouldn't speed up past 25 miles from that point I haven't been driving it.”
NHTSA complaint #11092150, filed 2018-05“On my 1994 Honda Accord the gas light has failed to come on since it was purchased around 25,000 miles. I recently purchased this car from a close friend and it continues to be faulty. This is an issue because when the tank registered around 1/4 tank the car died, leaving me stranded and this is common to every 1994-97 Honda Accord I have come into contact with. This is an issue that needs to be resolved as it could leave others stranded in more drastic circumstances.”
NHTSA complaint #754950, filed 2001-11“The contact owns a 1994 Honda Accord. She smelled a strong odor of gasoline emanating from the vehicle. Upon further inspection she noticed a fuel leak near the fuel tank. An authorized technician is in the process of repairing the fuel line. The failure and current mileages were 140,000.”
NHTSA complaint #10285199, filed 2009-09, 140,000 miles“The car pulls towards the left very strongly and you need to apply force to keep it straight. I got all of the wheels aligned, but it didn't have any effect. The exhaust system makes unnecessarily lot of noise, the gas indicator does not show the full indicator. The trunk hydraulic opening system doesn't work properly even though the dealer replaced it under teh warranty, still it is the same problem.”
