“Takata recall. I have a Honda Accord and I feel as if my car has a airbag problem for some reason when I plug my seat belt in the air bag light comes on and if I leave my seat belt off the air bag lights flashes here and there not sure if theres a recall for that I checked says there isn't but I want to know if I should be worried.”

NHTSA complaint #11186529, filed 2019-03, 10 miles

“Takata recall. I have contacted Honda multiple times, my passenger airbag is not a takata airbag, it was replaced with another airbag years ago, does not need recalled. I have asked for them to stop sending me notices, worked directly with my local dealership, who faxed the required paperwork and the issue is not resolved.”

NHTSA complaint #11099973, filed 2018-06, 196,412 miles

“My daughter was in an accident the other night and her airbag did not go off. She was driving 50 MPH on rt. 152 when someone pulled out in front of her attempting to cross the street. My daughter applied the brakes to avoid hitting the other vehicle. Upon impact the passenger airbag went off but the driver side did not!”

NHTSA complaint #11119693, filed 2018-08, 153,000 miles

“After taking car into crown southpoint Honda in durham, nc on sept. 30 2019 for a recall on airbag and coupe pab inspection, now the air bag light is on. 17024. Now I'm being told I will be charged for the diagnostic and repair. This car was purchased in sept. 2019 with 68,000 original miles, inspected at wasp automotive and has no mechanical or electric issues. So whatever the dealer did contributed to this problem.”

NHTSA complaint #11299333, filed 2020-01, 69,000 miles

“Takata recall: an indicator light on the dash periodically indicates a possible problem with the airbag system. I never know when it's going to light up and it does eventually turn off. My vehicle is not on a recall list for takata airbags, while I believe I have takata airbags. This happens rather in motion or stationary and seems to happen more often in warmer weather.”
